First responder & K9 demonstrations, touch-a-truck, helicopter, & meet local firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other community helpers!

We hope everyone is enjoying the fair this week!

Reminder to come out on Tuesday the 6th and meet your local Police, Fire, and Emergency Services Agencies. Enjoy bounce houses for kids, a BBQ provided by Sea Quake, raffle prizes, and a meet and greet with CCPD K9 teams.

We hope to see you there! Event starts at 5pm and ends at 8 pm.

Last week we were able to host TacMobility's Resilience that Doesn't Suck training. All staff in the Department were able to attend, as well as probation staff from Humboldt County Probation, and not only learn how stress and trauma can affect us and our families but also practice skills to keep ourselves well and ready to serve our community. Thanks to Erica from TacMobility for bringing knowledge and experience to help us, and thanks to several local hotels that played a part in supporting this training.

So happy to celebrate and honor the law enforcement officers of Del Norte County at last night's Law Enforcement Administrators of Del Norte County's (LEADN) award ceremony. Super proud of Probation's own Noah Chankin and Robert Arriola who were awarded Probation Officer of the Year and Reentry Officer of the Year awards for their work in 2023. We are fortunate to have these men serving with us.

The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office would like to extend deep condolences to family, friends, and coworkers of Sergeant Jessica Corona. She served the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office from June of 2015 until her passing on Wednesday 02-28-24. Services for Sergeant Jessica Corona will be held on Friday 03-08-24 at 2pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. More information can be found on the Wiers Mortuary Chapel website.

The Del Norte County Sheriff's Office mourns the loss of Deputy Deanna Esmaeel, who passed away on Thursday October 12, 2023.
Deanna spent most of her life in the Los Angeles area working behind the scenes in the film industry.
Deanna dreamed of working in law enforcement and made that dream a reality when she was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff for the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office in March of 2021. She was loved by all of us and the many new friends she made in our community.
Services for Deanna will be held Tuesday October 24 at 1pm at the Cornerstone Church on Douglas Street in Crescent City, CA.

Funeral Services UPDATE for Deputy Deanna Esmaeel.

The Del Norte County Sheriffs Office along with allied agencies will be participating in a Funeral Procession to honor Deputy Deanna Esmaeel, on 10-24-23 (Tuesday). The Funeral Procession will begin around 12:00 pm on Pebble Beach Drive near 9th Street and continue to Washington Blvd. Then on Washington Blvd at Pebble Beach to Northcrest Drive. The Procession will be limited to emergency vehicles, but we welcome the public to watch, wave, or salute from anywhere along the route to show support.
