Change is in the air for Crescent Fire. After 10 years and 4 months Fire Chief Grady Birchfield has decided to step down from the position of Fire Chief. He will continue to serve our Department while training and guiding the next Fire Chief and Officers.

The New Fire Chief for Crescent Fire is Josh Rollins. He officially took command as Fire Chief on May 12th, 2026. He brings over 21 years of experience with our Fire Dept. He has been an officer at every level within our Fire Department. He is and will continue to be a leader our guys can trust and continue to follow his great leadership.

Congratulations to Chief Birchfield for his time and dedication as Chief. Congratulations to Chief Rollins on your promotion to Chief.
