A big thanks to everyone who attended the ribbon cutting for our new playground. We forgot to count those in attendance, but we know Henry’s Diner donated 72 hot dogs and they were gone! Sasshole Donuts brought their mobile unit with mini donuts and floats. The weather was perfect for the kids to enjoy the playground and the surrounding park.
The playground was funded by the City of Crescent, Iowa West Foundation, and the Robert and Janice Summy Memorial fund. Thanks to Bluegrass Playgrounds, Will Mott (installer), Hatcher and Son for the concrete work, Austin Hively, Howard Hively and Jim Aldrich for the rubber tile placement, Craig Peterson for landscaping, and Emily Stuart for organizing the ribbon cutting event. This project relied on many volunteers and community support and for that we are proud to be a part of this community! Enjoy the playground and all the other features of our city parks!
