HS Art 1 students did a good job on their air dry clay tic-tac-toe games🙂 Air dry clay is not the easiest to work with🙃 several students had to start over or repair theirs to get it right. Overall, it was a fun project to end on!

🗿CLAY!!
In our Art 1 classes we are making Tic Tac Toe games! I love seeing the fun ideas they are coming up with! We will finish this project up next week with paint!!
Elementary classes are using colored air dry clay to create! They LOVE clay!!
(We had a business donate their “trash” scraps to the art department and let me tell you-the kids were dying to use it in their clay sculptures and I think they are so fun!! Thank you, Drew)

We have had a busy Spring semester and I have been terrible at taking pictures😅 This week in elementary we talked about team work and working with others to create art! Some classes made posters with partners while others made Lego sculptures together!

In High School we are painting ceiling tiles that represent who the artist is and for future artist to enjoy! It has been fun seeing what they come up with! Bonus: it brightens the room🤩

Call it whatever you want but we called it FUN FRIDAY!! Our last Friday to be in class was spent enjoying our friends and the beautiful OK weather! High School and Middle School Art students played with our elementary students in the great outdoors! They all loved it!!

The ART department is looking for your trash-Specifically EGG CARTONS & THIN CARDBOARD BOXES like cereal and bulk chip boxes! You can send with a student or drop off in an office and they’ll get it to me! THANK YOU!!

✨Pixel Paper Chain Art✨
My High School students were divided into groups to accomplish this artwork. They used grid paper to draw out their design and determine how wide and tall theirs would be. Measurements were important to get the links the same size. This took a lot of teamwork and communication! We learned a lot and have some ideas to make them even more awesome next year!
