Starting April 1st, the two bridges on V58, both north and south of 35th St, will be closed for reconstruction. The project is anticipated to take 5-7 months.

The Howard County Conservation Board is accepting applications for a full-time Resident Park Ranger at Lake Hendricks Park.

Position Duties Include:
• Park Ranger responsibilities
• Maintenance and management of HCCB areas
• Equipment, facility, and grounds maintenance
• Supervision of seasonal employees

Qualifications:
• Associate degree in natural resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of equipment & vehicle operation
• Skills in basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing & landscaping
• Valid Iowa driver’s license with satisfactory record
• IA law enforcement certified or able to meet certification requirements
• Strong public and human relations skills
