Cresson Public Library Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Cresson Public Library is to provide free reading and information services to people of all ages in the Cresson, PA area. The library works in concert with the county and state library systems to:

1. Develop a broad collection of materials for leisure reading, information, and research in a variety of print and non-print formats;
2. Su

pplement the library's collection through interlibrary loan services;
3. Develop a variety of reading programs within the library and through outreach programs for children and adults in order to foster a love of reading in the community;
4. Develop educational programs to enhance the computer literacy of adults and to enable all library users to make the best use of PowerLibrary and other online resources;
5. Build partnerships with other organizations in the community in order to make the most effective use of all community resources;
6. Cooperate with local schools to support education in the community.
