The Annual Town Cleanup is Getting More Fun this Year!

9am - 12pm: Meet at the 4-Way to beautify the Butte. Help clean up public spaces, recycle electronics, and drop yard waste or donations. Volunteers will receive a $20 gift card to a local restaurant, and there will be prizes for craziest trash found!

12pm - 3pm: After the trash, stay for the bash with an Elk Avenue Street Party! Hang out with music, games, restaurant specials, and good neighborly vibes (did someone say pickleball in the street?)

🚨 FRAUD ALERT 🚨

A scam email is circulating in the community that impersonates the Town in an attempt to collect fraudulent payments via wire transfer. The message uses publicly available information to make the request appear legitimate.

🚩 Important Reminder: The Town of Crested Butte will NEVER request payment by wire transfer. Any message requesting payment by wire transfer that claims to be from the Town should be treated as fraudulent. Official Town emails always end in -co.gov.

If you receive a suspicious message:
• Do not reply
• Do not send payment
• Do not click links or attachments

The Town’s systems have NOT been compromised. This is an external impersonation scam using publicly available information.

If you have questions or want to verify a message, please contact Town Staff directly through official channels.

Yay snow! With this significant storm cycle rolling in (finally!) we'd like to remind everyone that Town staff will be working overnight to plow rights-of-way and winter parking regulations including towing will be strictly enforced. We don't want to tow you! Please pay close attention to signage and make sure you are parked on the correct side of the street to allow for plowing operations.
