Crested Butte Fire Protection District would like to thank Sean Cobb for his support and training contributions.

Sean taught evidence-based firefighting skills, including search, water application, and ventilation. Training that helps CBFPD serve our community more effectively.

Sean is a Captain with the Cobb County, Georgia Fire Department, where he has served for 27 years. He is also a Lead Subject Matter Expert with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) / Fire Service Training program (FSRI).

Today, Crested Butte Fire Protection District responded to a report of a 1-vehicle rollover. Where a patient was cared for and transported to GVH.

That same patient, was headed to Paonia to pick up her wedding bouquet. With her wedding tomorrow, Firefighter/AEMT Tara Toste Sweitzer went above and beyond by making a bouquet so she can still have something special for her big day.

Lieutenant Taylor Reeves and Fire Inspector Chris Carver spent today on a wildland severity patrol, actively scouting and mitigating wildfire hazards across the district in response to recent Red Flag Warnings. These patrols will continue as needed.

AED coverage includes:
-All North Valley officers have an AED
-Mountain Biological Laboratory with an AED in Gothic
-Chamber of Commerce
-Clark’s Market
-Paragon Gallery
-Bus stop (2nd/Elk)
-Crested Butte Community School
-Majestic Movie Theatre

AED’s are designed for quick, simple use during cardiac emergencies.
