Monthly run statistics for July!

We are still continuing our trend for our busiest year on record! We are now 106 runs ahead of where we were last year. In addition to responding to EMS and Fire calls, we are doing training, fire safety inspections, smoke detector installation and public education.

As always, we remain ready to respond to any emergency call that comes in!

We are halfway through 2026, and we are STILL on track for one of our busiest years on record!

CFD is staffed with just two crew members 24/7/365. As always, CFD stays prepared and ready to respond to any emergency call.

At 2:37 a.m. this morning, the Crestline Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on South Henry Street. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Ohio Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Mutual aid was given by Jefferson Township Fire Dept., Springfield Township Fire Department/Ontario, Shelby Firefighters Local 2492, and City of Galion Fire and Rescue.

What many don’t see is that before this fire, our two-person duty crew was already assisting Jefferson Township FD on a cardiac arrest. That means that the on duty crew was delayed in responding to the fire. While crews were still operating at the fire, another EMS call came in.

This is the reality of today’s fire service. Emergencies don’t happen one at a time.

Crestline Fire Department currently staffs only two personnel on duty, 24/7/365.

Thank you to our mutual aid partners and off-duty personnel for responding.
