π¨ TRAFFIC NOTICE β STERLING STREET SPEED LIMIT CHANGE π¨
The Creston Police Department would like to make residents and motorists aware of an important traffic change on Sterling Street.
The posted speed limit on Sterling Street has been reduced from 35 MPH to 25 MPH.
To allow motorists time to become familiar with the new speed limit, the Creston Police Department will observe a 30-day educational period. During this time, officers will not issue citations solely for violations of the newly reduced speed limit.
However, officers WILL be conducting traffic stops when speed violations are observed. Drivers will be advised of the new 25 MPH speed limit and reminded to adjust their speed accordingly.
After the 30-day educational period, normal traffic enforcement will begin, including the issuance of citations when appropriate.
We encourage everyone who regularly travels Sterling Street to pay attention to the new signage and begin following the 25 MPH speed limit immediately.
Thank you for helping us keep our roadways and community safe.
