This is also not a Creston thing, but, if you know anyone who loves authentic Greek and Middle East food, I have good news! Templeton Pizza and Greek Food, located at 98 S. Main St. in Templeton, cross street is 1st street, is hosting a very special Buffet dinner with at least 6 main dishes and side dishes and fabulous Greek desserts on Saturday Feb. 7th from 4 - 7:30 pm. You can visit their page for more details. Reservations are required. This family owned restaurant has been there for 13 years and this family happens to attend my church!

This is not a Creston thing, but, those of you who enjoyed the Rock Opera "Tommy" by The Who would probably want to know that the Morro Bay Theater, aka the Bay Theater, is showing "Tommy" the film this coming Monday January 19th - and the line forms outside around 5 pm and the movie shows at 6 PM. this show is a fund raiser for the fabulous local radio station The Rock. I attend many of these classic film screenings at all the local movie theaters.

I attended this Central Coast Renaissance Festival last July and it was so much fun. Great food, music, dancing and history! Games! Fun for the entire family and a lovely forest setting. Easy parking.

The Lord Mayor has decreed that 2026 will be the 40th annual celebration of the Central Coast Renaissance Festival, happening July 18th and 19th at Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo, CA.

This was one of my all time favorite restaurants in all of North County. Bravo!!

*UPDATE: The restaurant let me know that they are planning to officially re-open around June -July this year. 😋 A bit of a wait, but it will be worth it! 😁

🍗 Dubs Soul Food recently announced their return in a new location in 2026. Known for their classic soul food dishes, and memorable fried chicken, we are so excited to see them coming back! 💕

The Creston House and General Store just posted that milkshakes & pizza are offered all day. Their winter hours are:
Monday through Friday 8 am - 7 pm
Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 5 pm.
Also,
The Colony Cinema in Atascadero is showing the absolute classic adventure film "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" on Monday January 5th at 6 pm. This must be seen on the BIG SCREEN!! This theater screens a classic film every Monday evening -- check out their website. Their lobby serves really tasty food at very reasonable prices. Always a comfortable place and super easy parking.

this will be a wonderful show tonight and tomorrow night. And it is free and supports the middle school kids. Templeton Performing Arts Center on the High School Campus with easy parking.

TMS Drama tonight and tomorrow, 6pm at the TPAC.
Please note: there is also THS soccer and basketball tonight on campus so come early for parking and a seat, first come first serve.
