Parents as Teachers Program at SWCC Parents as Teachers provides free personalized home based services to families with children 0-5 in Adams, Union and Adair Counties.

Parents as Teachers is a voluntary program that uses fun, hands on activities to provide parent education and support to families with children birth to age five. Through the program, parents are supported by Parents as Teachers-certified parent educators who are trained to translate scientific information on brain development in specific when, what, how, advice for families. Your baby was born to learn! Parents as Teachers services include: • Personal visits • Parent group meetings • Screenings • Resource network Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. We recognize the need to improve the form and process used to provide Grab & Go Meals and will make the following changes effective immediately: PICK UP TIME: 11:30 to 12:30 at the high school parking lot. MEALS: One choice only (Finding distributors who can deliver consistently is making it difficult to provide choices). SIGNING UP: Meals need to be doubled, as we are providing meals for two days. Starting Monday, March 23, Creston Community School District and the Creston Food Pantry will offer the following opportunities for students and families to receive food and "grab and go" meals from the high school parking lot modeled as a drive thru.

Grab and go meals will not require preparation and are designed to provide a meal for the day and the following day. The food pantry intends to provide food that may last a week.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., CCHS parking lot

Fridays, 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., CCHS parking lot
