TEMPORARY NO PARKING NOTICE – JULY 4TH EVENTS
The Creston Police Department would like to remind everyone of several temporary No Parking restrictions that will be in effect during the City's Fourth of July celebrations. These restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of participants, spectators, and emergency personnel during these City approved events.
Fourth of July Flea Market
No Parking: 9:00 PM on Thursday, July 3 through 5:00 PM on Friday, July 4
No parking will be permitted in the 100 Block of N. Maple Street, between Adams Street and Montgomery Street, for the Fourth of July Flea Market.
Fourth of July Parade
Saturday, July 4 – Parade Begins at 10:00 AM
Temporary No Parking restrictions will be in effect along the entire parade route.
Parade Route:
• Starts at Mills Street & Pine Street
• South on Pine Street to Montgomery Street
• West on Montgomery Street to Division Street
• South on Division Street to Adams Street
• East on Adams Street to Walnut Street
• North on Walnut Street to Montgomery Street
• East on Montgomery Street to Cherry Street (disband)
Parade Line-Up Areas
No Parking: 8:30 AM until approximately 1:00 PM
The following streets will also be designated as No Parking to accommodate parade staging:
• Cherry Street from Montgomery Street to Howard Street
• Mills Street from Pine Street to Cedar Street
Officers will be stationed throughout the parade route to assist with traffic control and pedestrian safety. Temporary "No Parking – Police Order" signs will be placed in some of the affected areas as reminders of these parking restrictions. Vehicles parked in posted restricted areas may be cited and/or towed if necessary to facilitate the event.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience as we celebrate Independence Day together. These temporary restrictions help ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
