Well, tomorrow night is when I, along with three others, each take our Oath of Office to begin a new year with a new Board of Aldermen. With that I can now begin a weekly "Aldermanic Report" giving updates about what is coming up, what is going on and the occasional survey as well. If you'd like to subscribe please click the link below to be added to my mailing list.

Updates and other information will go out every Monday and you can unsubscribe at any time. Thanks!

Mr. Ricks was an incredible man: a veteran, a father and grandfather, and someone who brought joy to so many people in and around Crestwood. He is a one-of-a-kind soul who will be missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Ted Ricks, Crestwood’s favorite Santa. He was and shall forever be our cherished gift, and the memories we all have of Ted will live in our hearts, always. He will be missed. Peace be with his family and all those who were touched by his fine soul.

Tomorrow night's Aldermanic meeting will include discussion to consider the possibility of moving the Joseph Sappington Log Cabin (built in 1816) to the Sappington House Campus in Crestwood.

Part of the discussion is the high cost (over $200K) to move and situate the house on a new foundation. The Sappington House Foundation is raising money to offset this cost as much as possible.

Please share the link below to help them raise the funds needed to ensure the cabin is preserved as a timeless asset for all to enjoy!

Welcome to our new Police Chief: Jonathan Williams!

Welcome to our new Police Chief: Jonathan Williams!

The men and women of The Crestwood Police Department would like to ask you to join us in giving a warm welcome to our new Chief of Police, Jonathan Williams.
Chief Williams wished to share the following words with our community;

Like many who grew up in or near Crestwood, I spent many Friday and Saturday nights cruising Crestwood Mall. Never did I think I would have the opportunity to serve as Chief of Police for the City of Crestwood, but after 20 years in law enforcement that opportunity has come.
I am both humbled and honored to serve such a wonderful community and those who protect you every day. As I have told all of the officers, my two priorities will always be the officers and our community. Every decision I make will be with you in mind.
I can’t wait to get out and meet the people that make the City of Crestwood a community. When we as a nation defeat COVID-19, my first priority will be making that happen. Until then, I will come up with some creative ways to meet the people of our community. Stay healthy and stay safe.

Thankfully yours,
Jonathan Williams
Chief of Police

We wanted to take a minute to remind everyone of the Crestwood Community Camera Program. Video surveillance is one of the best methods for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects. The Crestwood Community Camera Program allows residents and business owners to register the locations and capabilities of their security camera systems with The Crestwood Police Department. When a crime occurs, The Crestwood Police Department will then know the locations of nearby video cameras and be able to collect video evidence and quickly follow up on investigative leads.
If you would like to register your security camera system with The Crestwood Police Department, please fill out the registration form located at;
