The past 10 days have been a true testament to the dedication of Nottoway County’s volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel.

During this time, crews have responded to multiple serious motor vehicle accidents, multiple structure fires, and numerous other emergency incidents—all while operating in extreme summer heat.

The Crewe Volunteer Fire Department is proud to be 100% volunteer. Every call is answered by men and women who leave their jobs, families, and personal time to serve this community whenever they’re needed.

We appreciate the continued support from our community and are proud to stand alongside the other volunteer departments throughout Nottoway County to keep our citizens safe.

If anyone is performing a controlled burn, please remember to notify our Emergency Communications Center via their non-emergency line at 434-645-9044 and provide the location, what will be control burned, and the person conducting the controlled burn with a callback number.
