Hosted by the Cripple Creek Police Department

Join the Cripple Creek Police Department for an afternoon of fun, community, and connection at National Night Out 2026!

National Night Out is a nationwide event that brings neighbors, families, and law enforcement together to build stronger relationships and create a safer community for everyone.

We wish everyone a safe, fun, and memorable Fourth of July with family and friends as we celebrate our nation's freedom.

🚫 Please remember: Fireworks are banned at this time due to fire danger. With the current conditions, even a single spark can quickly lead to a devastating wildfire. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping protect our community, our neighbors, and our beautiful mountain landscape.

🎆 If you're celebrating, please:
• Never drink and drive—plan for a safe ride home.
• Keep an eye on children and pets, as loud noises can be stressful.
• Call 911 only for emergencies. For non-emergency incidents, please use the appropriate non-emergency line.

The Colorado sunshine is beautiful, but those high-altitude rays can be stronger than you think! Whether you're exploring our historic streets, hiking, working outside, or cheering on our famous four-legged residents (yes, the donkeys! 🫏❤️), take a few simple steps to protect yourself.

🧴 Apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
🕶️ Wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays
👒 Grab a hat with a wide brim
💧 Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
🌳 Take breaks in the shade when you can

A little sun safety goes a long way in making sure you can enjoy everything Cripple Creek has to offer all summer long.

As we celebrate Independence Day with family, friends, and fireworks, our dispatchers and first responders will be working around the clock to keep our community safe.

🚨 Please call 911 only for emergencies. 🚨

Examples of emergencies include:
✅ Fires
✅ Serious injuries or medical emergencies
✅ Crimes in progress
✅ Traffic crashes with injuries
✅ Situations where someone's life, safety, or property is in immediate danger

Today, after the excitement of Donkey Derby Days, we took a few moments to recognize two of our newest officers by presenting them with one of our CCPD challenge coins.

We are proud to recognize Officer Rudolph, who has been serving our community with dedication for nearly a year, and Officer Ramirez, who has officially completed training and is now serving independently. Congratulations to you both—we are incredibly proud of your hard work and commitment!
