I’m proud to share that the staff of the Houston County Clerk’s Office has successfully completed our annual cybersecurity training as well as the new AI Awareness Training. Every member of our team earned their certification, demonstrating our commitment to protecting sensitive information, embracing new technology responsibly, and providing the highest level of service to the citizens we serve. Continuous learning and professional development remain a priority for our office, and I’m grateful for a team that takes these responsibilities seriously.

BURN BAN IN EFFECT
Due to dry conditions and increased wildfire risk, the Houston County Commissioners' Court has issued a burn ban for all unincorporated areas of Houston County.

We have been receiving some wonderful feedback about the service provided by the Houston County Clerk’s Office, and today I want to recognize Stephanie Yorgensen, our Chief Deputy Clerk.

Stephanie is responsible for recording our real property records and works diligently to assist the public each day. Recently, Mr. Cockrell shared his appreciation for the help she provided. Because he is legally blind, he often needs additional assistance, and he wanted me to know how much Stephanie’s kindness and professionalism meant to him.

In his note, he wrote that Stephanie “went out of her way to help me and had a very professional attitude, commitment, and good humor.”

I love hearing from members of the public about how my office and staff have helped meet their needs. It is always encouraging to know that our efforts are making a difference.

Stephanie, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and outstanding service to the citizens of Houston County. We are proud to have you on our team!

Employee Spotlight

Today, I want to recognize one of our outstanding employees, Kayla Walker, for her dedication and professionalism.

As part of our commitment to protecting sensitive information, our office participates in ongoing security and privacy training through the various agencies we work with. Today, Kayla successfully recertified in Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security and Privacy Training and achieved a perfect score on her certification exam.

We take the security and confidentiality of the records entrusted to our office very seriously. Kayla’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity and information protection reflects the level of care she brings to her work every day.

For those whose criminal records are processed and maintained through our office, you can be confident that your information is being handled by someone who is well-trained, diligent, and committed to keeping your records secure.

I called and requested a copy of my Marriage Licenses from 1976. They were very Professional. When I arrived to Your Office they were Excellent.
