In this photo, Stephanie Yorgensen is using the new plotter we recently purchased for the Houston County Clerk’s Office.

This equipment will allow us to scan and upload plats into our case management system, something we have never been able to do in-house before. Having this capability is a significant step forward in preserving and maintaining our county records while improving access to important documents.

I am grateful that we had room in our budget to acquire this equipment, and I am excited about the positive impact it will have on our office operations for years to come.

Thank you to Stephanie for helping implement this new process and for the care and attention she gives to maintaining the land records entrusted to our office. Investments like these help us continue providing the best possible service to the citizens of Houston County.

Today I would like to recognize Stephanie Yorgensen, our Land and Deed Clerk and Chief Deputy.

Stephanie does an outstanding job serving the citizens of Houston County every day. She has a remarkable ability to dig through land records and help people find exactly what they need, even when the search is challenging.

Recently, one of our local land professionals has been unable to come to the courthouse due to injuries. Stephanie went above and beyond to help provide the documents they needed, making the process much easier during a difficult time. As a token of their appreciation, they surprised Stephanie with these beautiful flowers.

I also want to give a shout-out to Stephanie for faithfully using her stand-up desk every day. When she asked about getting one, I was happy that we were able to find a solution that fit our budget. It’s rewarding to see it being put to such good use, and it serves as a reminder that investing in our employees’ well-being matters.

Stephanie is knowledgeable, hardworking, and always willing to help. I am grateful for the professionalism, kindness, and positive face she presents for our office each day. Thank you, Stephanie, for all you do for the Houston County Clerk’s Office and the citizens we serve!

One of the best parts of this job is seeing our employees recognized for the difference they make in the lives of the people we serve.

Today, Kayla Walker, Criminal/Civil Clerk in the Houston County Clerk’s Office, received this lovely thank-you from one of our local bond companies for assistance she provided.

I am incredibly proud of Kayla and thankful for team members like her who go the extra mile to help our customers. Her willingness to assist others with kindness, patience, and professionalism reflects the level of service we strive to provide every day.

Thank you, Kayla, for your hard work and for representing the Houston County Clerk’s Office so well. We appreciate you! Kayla Walker
