Winter has arrived in the Black Hills and it's bitterly cold, but Operation Black Hills Cabin is preparing for our 2026 season. We're looking forward to hosting qualified post-9/11 combat-wounded veterans and their families this summer. We have openings/weeks available from June through September and we are accepting applications. Don’t forget! As of January 2026, all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education beneficiaries, including Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) students, must verify their enrollment each month to receive benefit payments.
