Where are our courses held? 📍⁠

The answer is - all courses are held ONLINE 🙌 💻⁠
⁠
This is one of the most common questions we get about our courses, as well as how you sign up.⁠
⁠
All of our courses are currently ALL ONLINE with the exception of 1 day in-person skill test, where what you've learned in the course will be tested - and you also sign up for all of our courses online on our website 😉⁠
⁠
When it comes to this 1 day in-person, you have different options:⁠
⁠
🚒 You can have it done by someone in your department who's qualified for this assessment (Requirements are that he/she must be certified in the discipline being tested, and a current approved TCFP field examiner)⁠
⁠
🚒 You can come to us in Crosby (NE Houston Metro) at the daily rate of $220⁠
⁠
🚒 We can come to you - if you're located more than 80 miles out of Houston, travel expenses will be added on top of the daily rate of $220⁠
⁠
The daily rate of $220 can be split amongst you if you're more doing the skill testing this day ☝️⁠
⁠

What's in our newest course "Driver Operator - Aerial"? 🚒⁠

The duties of an Emergency Vehicle Operator are extremely dangerous, as well as mentally and physically exhausting, when responding to, returning from, or operating at an emergency scene 🙏⁠
⁠
The Driver Operator – Aerial Course is a course that covers everything from preventive maintenance to the general operations of the apparatus.⁠
⁠
This course is a hybrid course that will take you through the entire IFSTA Driver Operator Manual. You will be tested academically on the IFSTA Driver Operator Manual. You will also be tested on a variety of skills from the different sections of driving in non and emergency situations to pumping the apparatus. This course follows NFPA 1002 and also covers many other NFPA Standards as well. To view the course curriculum and/or the skills that you will be tested over please click on the appropriate links below. Our course curriculum comes directly from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and the State Fireman’s and Fire Marshal’s Association.⁠

➡️ Yes, we offer Continuing Education (CE) subscription service for Texas First Responders. For $170 you will have 12 months unlimited access to TCFP and SFFFMA approved CE courses.⁠

➡️ All courses now start on the 1st of every month, with some courses starting on even months and some courses starting on odd months. Keep an eye on our socials and website for exact dates. The dates for the following month will be announced on the 15th of every month.⁠

Wondering where our fire training courses are held? 🔥⁠

One of the most frequently asked questions we get is: Are your courses online or in-person?⁠
⁠
Here’s the answer: All of our firefighter certification courses are 100% online, with the exception of a 1-day in-person skills test to complete your practical evaluation 💻🙌⁠

For the required in-person skills assessment, you have a few flexible options:⁠
⁠
🚒 Local evaluator: A qualified member of your department can conduct the skills test (they must be certified in the discipline and approved as a TCFP field examiner).⁠
⁠
🚒 Come to us: Join us in Crosby, TX (NE Houston area). The daily rate is $220.⁠
⁠
🚒 We come to you: For departments located more than 80 miles outside of Houston, we’re happy to travel - travel costs will be added to the $220 daily rate.⁠
⁠
✅ The daily rate can be shared between multiple students testing on the same day!⁠
