🇺🇸Parade Info🇺🇸
Firefighters will be in red event shirts, law enforcement will be in uniform. If you have questions or concerns, please approach these individuals for assistance.
Please plan TONIGHT. City of Crosby,Public works has been out and marked the parade route and official detours with signs. Many of those signs will say “NO PARKING” and we ask that you begin adhering to that right away.
There’s a street dance tonight at Spalding House and we LOVE when people drink and DO NOT DRIVE. Sometimes that means leaving your vehicle somewhere overnight, please don’t make that somewhere by one of those No Parking Signs. The Crosby Police Department will begin towing tomorrow morning well before the parade. Towing will be at owners expense. Thank you to our partners over at AutoSmith Service Group that help us keep our parade and detour routes clear!
OFFICIAL PARADE ROUTE runs along Highway 210/Main Street through Ironton and Crosby. Line up begins down at the Ironton American Legion Post 443 and will process down to the park at the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library. The parade stops short of the hospital.
The Parade Judges will be located at the high school and judging 6 categories: Best of Parade, Best Music, Best Classic, Most Patriotic, Best Homemade, Best Business Float.
CFD’s main priority is community safety. Part of that safety is shutting the roadways down and detouring as people congregate for the parade. This begins a minimum of 60 minutes before the parade. We advise you arrive early for the parade and avoid using Main Street to drive. Your convenience does not trump safety, so please do not move barricades or cones to “get right over there.” Think ahead and have a plan. If you need help getting somewhere, ask a firefighter or law enforcement officer for directions.
Please see the map here of the official route and detours around town. Weather decisions are made prior to the highway being shut down (30-60 minutes ahead of start time).
Let’s have a fun and safe celebration together!
