Last night, the CRFD Training Division conducted a "Dollhouse" burn evolution to show our Fire Academy Recruits Fire Dynamics, including the effects of flow path, ventilation, and fire streams. Trainees learned valuable knowledge with this real-life demonstration.

Five members of the Crosby Volunteer Fire Department were among 800+ climbers who participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the FDIC 2026 Conference & Expo in Indianapolis, IN for 25th Anniversary of 9/11/01, on Friday, April 24th.

Crosby Volunteer Fire Department

Firefighter Boyles lost his life in an accident, as the driver of the CVFD Fire Truck, responding to a fire, when a vehicle pulled out in front of the fire truck. His attempt to avoid a collision (which cost him his life) saved the occupants of the other vehicle from serious injury or death.
