Bringing Ancient Greece to Life at KCS!

Our 2nd grade Cubs wrapped up their CKLA unit on Greek Civilizations with hands-on learning and exciting opportunities to explore the world of Ancient Greece! Along the way, they worked hard on important 2nd grade reading skills while building their knowledge, making connections, and bringing history to life.

We love seeing our Cubs grow as readers, thinkers, and learners through engaging experiences that make learning meaningful and fun!

HOCO Day 3: Sports Movie Day

Once Upon a Time in Kindergarten!

Our KCS kindergartners had a fairy-tale kind of fun wrapping up their CKLA Stories unit! From bringing stories to life with puppets and building the Three Little Pigs’ houses to enjoying porridge just like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, our Cubs had a wonderful time learning through hands-on activities.

Along the way, they practiced important reading skills, explored story elements, and brought their favorite tales to life! We love seeing our little Cubs grow as readers while discovering that learning can be so much fun!

We had a few more classes get the attendance prize cart visit for 100% attendance filling up their CUBS letters! Keep it up and keep showing up every day! Congrats to Mrs. Sphaler’s, Mrs. Burton’s, and Mrs. Miller’s classes.

HOCO Dress Up Day 1: Animated Movie Day!

A few snapshots of our CUBS in action this week. It’s so encouraging to visit classrooms and see the incredible learning happening all across the KCS campus! Our cubs were reading, writing, and practicing math skills all while celebrating Fire Safety Week and Hispanic Heritage Month. It’s the daily wins that add up to BIG accomplishments by the end of the year! You wouldn’t believe all that happens each day when great teachers, admin, staff, and students work together toward a common goal. We are blessed with the best!
