Due to recent storms, the Village is moving up brush pick up for "4th week" residents to this week (June 15th). Brush pickup will then resume the regular schedule in July.

The Village of Cross Plains has an "Interim Market Update" in 2026. Property owners will receive notices of assessed value in July. Open Book dates have been scheduled for August 3rd from 10 AM - 2 PM and August 4th from 2PM - 6PM. Board of Review will be held on September 16th from 5PM - 7PM.

This timeline will help you better understand what assessors do throughout the year. Assessors will be using sales up to January 1, 2026 to determine values for this year.

Village Board Meeting Recap | June 8, 2026

The Cross Plains Village Board met on Monday, June 8th and took the following actions:

• Approved a $1,500 donation to BECWA for a portable 3D model of the Black Earth Creek Watershed
• Approved the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agreement
• Shared construction and cost updates on the new Village Hall/Police Station facility
• Approved changes to Chapter 83 (Land Division and Subdivision) of the Village’s Code of Ordinances
• Approved changes to Chapter 84 (Zoning Regulations) of the Village’s Code of Ordinances

May was a busy month at the construction site!

The first layer of exterior sheathing has been completed, making it ready for the insulated sheathing that will be placed around the entire exterior of the building.

Roof decking installation has been completed and they are preparing for rooftop mechanical equipment.

A good reminder as we head in to summer!

Today is Heat Awareness Day in Wisconsin. With temperatures on the rise, remember that temperatures can become dangerous quickly inside a vehicle. On an 80-degree day, temperatures in a parked vehicle in direct sunlight can climb about 20 degrees in just 10 minutes.

Never leave your child or pet unattended inside a car. Make it a habit to check your backseats before leaving your vehicle.
