3/3 On Thursday, we hosted Rodriguez Middle School's choir, band, and orchestra during 4th grade specials as part of their annual push for students to join their 6th grade year. It was a wonderful performance, and we got to hear from several RMS students on what they love about music. When it is time to select classes, all three of these are options for incoming 6th graders!

It has been such a weird week with it being so short. We have done so many different games, new and old. Ninja dodgeball, fox and squirrel, rock-paper-scissors tag, cone flips...all so much fun, but nothing I can really take a picture of!!! So here is a picture of a surprise zinnia in my garden and my rabbits

1) through the tunnel
2) jumping jacks
3) over the block
4) weave around the poles
5) slide steps around the hokey sticks
6) high knees through the tires
7) jump rope
8) jumping jacks
9) balance beam
10) trampoline
11) ladder run
12) more balance beams
13) tire pull and push
14) stilts
15) spring board
16) over the mountain
17) punching bag
18) hurdles
And finally, 19) over the last block
Some of the obstacles were added after I took the pictures. I'll post the final scores at the end of the week

4) field goal kicks for 3-5, soccer goal kicks for k-2
5) basketball shots
6) volleyball

8) frisbee and plate spinning
9) frisbee bowling
10) jump rope

Wow it's been a crazy week and we still have one more day! Grades 3-5 are doing Volleyball on one of eight courts with beach balls. Winners move up a court and losers move down. (The hula hoops are for the warm up and are removed before volleyball starts.) I joined in several games both on purpose and on accident. Oops!!!
Grades K-2 are playing a tagging game called Shark Attack! We have two shallow water sharks who have to stay on the perimeter, two deep water sharks who stay on the interior, and two life guards who rescue our downed swimmers. We stop and switch out frequently to ensure many people can have a job as possible!
