Cumberland Mountain State Park

Cumberland Mountain State Park Home of the largest masonry structure built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.

This 1,720 acre park is great for all kinds of recreational activities such as golfing, hiking, biking, boating, swimming and bird watching. What happens when the sun goes down?

Find out at our Night Swim on Friday, June 12!

As darkness falls, our Olympic-sized pool transforms into a glowing oasis, creating a completely different swimming experience. Dive into the water under the lights, enjoy the evening atmosphere, and experience the pool like never before.

🌟 Night Swim Hours: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
💲 Admission: $5 per person

The pool will also be open during regular hours from 10:00 AM – 5:45 PM with regular admission of $7 per person.

When the gates reopen at 6:30 PM, a different kind of swimming adventure begins...

☀️ The pool will be open today, May 25, from 10:00 AM–5:45 PM.

As you make your plans, please keep an eye on the weather. For everyone’s safety, swimmers are not permitted in the pool if thunder is heard.

‼️⚠️ The pool will be closed on Saturday, May 23, due to unexpected maintenance repairs.

We know many of you were looking forward to enjoying the pool, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Our staff is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we’ll post updates as soon as we have more information about reopening.

In the meantime, please check out our weekend programming schedule for alternative activities happening on the park.

Landen Wilson of Troop 374 has successfully completed his Eagle Scout project, which involved planning and overseeing the construction of four Little Free Libraries now located throughout Cumberland Mountain State Park for visitors and the community to enjoy. Landen is the son of Danny and Brandi Wilson and is a rising senior at CCHS. His project reflects his dedication to service, leadership, and promoting literacy within the community.

We’ve received many questions about the swings in the lower playground, and we’re excited to share that improvements are on the way! As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and more inclusive play environment, the current swing sets will be removed while we research and implement new ADA-accessible playground components.

We appreciate your patience and support during this transition as we work to upgrade the playground into a space that all children can enjoy together. We look forward to sharing more updates as plans move forward.
