PRESS RELEASE: (*date corrected)
Friday, April 10, 2026

In the early morning hours on Friday, April 10, 2026, The Crossville Police Department Patrol Division and Narcotics Detectives, in coordination with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a proactive enforcement operation which resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal narcotics and the arrest of two individuals.

The operation stemmed from ongoing investigative efforts and targeted enforcement initiatives aimed at identifying and disrupting the distribution of methamphetamine within the region. Through coordinated surveillance, investigative techniques, and inter-agency cooperation, officers were able to identify individuals suspected of involvement in illegal drug activity and take appropriate enforcement action.

As a result of the operation, officers seized approximately seven (7) ounces of suspected methamphetamine. Based on preliminary estimates, this quantity represents a substantial amount of the illegal substance and has an estimated street value of several thousand dollars. In addition to the narcotics, officers also seized approximately $2,300 in U.S. currency, believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.

Two individuals were taken into custody at the scene without incident. Charges are currently pending and will be formally presented following the completion of the investigation and consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.

This case highlights the effectiveness of collaborative law enforcement efforts and the continued commitment of the Crossville Police Department and its partner agencies The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to aggressively combat the distribution of illegal narcotics. Removing this quantity of methamphetamine from circulation helps prevent further harm to individuals and families within the community. The investigation remains ongoing.

Any questions, please contact the Crossville Police Department at 931-484-7231.
