⏰ **Last chance to make your voice count!**

There's only **one week left** to complete the Press Forward Middle Tennessee Community Survey, and we'd love for Cumberland County to be well represented.

Think about it...

* Where do you hear about severe weather?
* How do you find out about local events?
* Where do you learn about community resources or organizations that can help your family?
* What if those important updates never reached the people who needed them most?

Your answers will help paint a clearer picture of how our community receives information and where improvements are needed.

💙 The survey only takes **7–10 minutes**, and after you've completed it, come back here and comment **"Done!"** to be entered to win **4 tickets to the Cumberland County Playhouse!**

➡️ Take the survey at: https://www.pressforwardmidtn.news

Every response helps ensure the voices of our neighbors are heard.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to invest in our community.

🇺🇸 We're honored to announce a new opportunity to serve those who served.

Creative Compassion is now helping eligible veterans and surviving spouses navigate Project 250, a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development initiative that may provide funding for qualifying home repairs.

This is more than a new program, it's an opportunity to help veterans and surviving spouses who need repairs to keep their homes safe, healthy, and accessible by providing a local team to guide them through every step of the process.

If you know a veteran, or the surviving spouse of a veteran, who may benefit from this opportunity, we'd appreciate your help in connecting them with us. Together, we can help ensure this opportunity reaches the veterans and families who need it most.

Casey joined nonprofit leaders from across Middle and East Tennessee for a media relations workshop hosted by the Tennessee Nonprofit Network.

The workshop focused on how nonprofits can better share their stories through the media, and we came away with new ideas for helping more people learn about Creative Compassion and the neighbors we serve.

Some of the most valuable lessons didn't happen only during the presentations. They happened in conversations with people who care deeply about serving their communities, sharing ideas, and finding ways to work together—including a chance to connect with another Crossville native who is now serving through KARM.

The truth is, Creative Compassion's story is told every day by the people who believe in it. Every conversation about Creative, every post you share, and every introduction you make helps new volunteers, community partners, and donors discover our mission.

Thank you for helping us tell the story.

📣 **How do you find out what's happening in Cumberland County?**

When a storm is coming, a road closes, a new community resource becomes available, or a local organization opens applications for help... where do you hear about it?

At Creative Compassion, we've seen how the *right information at the right time* can change a family's future. But if people don't know about the resources available to them, those opportunities can be missed.

That's why we're asking our friends and neighbors to take **7–10 minutes** to complete the Press Forward Middle Tennessee Community Survey. Your responses will help organizations better understand how people across Tennessee receive local news and information—and where important gaps exist.

💵 **As a thank you, everyone who comments "Done!" after completing the survey will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card!**

Your voice matters. Help make sure our community stays informed and connected. Take the survey here ➡️ https://www.pressforwardmidtn.news

Today, we join communities across the country in celebrating 250 years of America.

As we reflect on this milestone, we're grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, the neighbors who make our communities strong, and the countless people who choose to invest their time, talents, and resources to help others.

Every home repaired, every family welcomed into a new home, every ramp built, every volunteer hour given, and every donation made is a reminder that the spirit of caring for one another is alive and well in the Upper Cumberland.

Today, we're celebrating not only our nation's history, but the people who continue to make it a place of hope, opportunity, and compassion.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Creative Compassion. 🇺🇸

June is National Homeownership Month, and yesterday Creative Compassion had the privilege of hosting leaders from USDA Rural Development as part of a tour focused on rural housing and homeownership across Tennessee.

During their visit, we discussed the impact of USDA Rural Development's direct loan and grant programs, the opportunities they create for families, and the challenges that still exist for many rural communities. The conversation included firsthand perspectives from homeowner Morgan Wilson, whose Creative built home we were able to tour, and Dawson Hunt, a Creative Compassion homeowner who now serves on our Board of Directors. Together, they shared their experiences navigating the homeownership process through USDA programs and the difference stable housing has made in their lives.

We also highlighted the impact of the $150,000 Housing Preservation Grant awarded to Creative Compassion and the difference those funds are making for homeowners throughout Cumberland County.

We are grateful to have welcomed USDA Rural Development for the second time this month and appreciate their willingness to listen, learn, and explore ways to strengthen housing opportunities across rural Tennessee. Homeownership changes lives, and we're proud to be part of the conversation.

Housing challenges are too big for any one organization to solve alone.

That's why we were so encouraged to see so many community partners, leaders, supporters, and friends gathered together at our recent open house.

While the ribbon cutting marked the opening of our new office, what stood out most was the shared commitment to creating safe, healthy, and accessible homes throughout the Upper Cumberland.

To everyone who attended, supported, partnered, volunteered, or simply showed up—thank you. We are grateful for each of you and excited for what's ahead.
