SAND BAG UPDATE 6/16/26

Sand bags will be available at the Town Barn on POW MIA Drive today (6/16) from 1p - 5p.

Please bring your own shovel to fill your bags. Sand bags and sand will be provided free of charge. We will have a town employee there to assist the elderly and handicapped. Limit 3 sand bags per door.

Must show ID and reside in the city limits of Church Point. If you live outside the city limits, please contact the Acadia Parish Police Jury for more info about sandbags.

🚨 SANDBAG DISTRIBUTION NOTICE 🚨
Sand and sandbags will be available Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at all parish barn locations.

📋 BEFORE YOU GO
• Bring a valid photo ID to verify residency
• Limit 12 sandbags per rural household
• Residents must fill their own sandbags
• Bringing your own shovel is encouraged; shovels will also be available on-site

📍 PICKUP LOCATIONS
• Crowley Barn – 247 Roller Road
• Iota Barn – 540 Kennedy Avenue
• Branch Barn – 114 Bias Road

♿ ACCESSIBILITY ASSISTANCE
• Pre-filled sandbags and assistance will be available for elderly residents and individuals with disabilities
