We had the incredible honor of es**rting Mr. Prigeon Fontenot, 100 years young, to the Lafayette Regional Airport as he begins his journey to Normandy, France, for the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our deputies and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office for their support in helping provide this special es**rt. It was a small gesture of appreciation for a remarkable veteran—our way of saying thank you for his service and for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Safe travels, Mr. Fontenot, and thank you for your legacy of courage and sacrifice.
