We are excited to share some amazing news!

The Louisiana 4‑H Youth Development Program, in partnership with the Louisiana Beef Industry Council, received over 500 entries from 21 parishes for this year’s State Beef Poster Contest, all celebrating the theme “Raising the Steaks.” 🥩

This contest allowed participants in grades 4–12 showcased their creativity and knowledge of the beef industry through original poster and digital designs that promoted beef products and nutrition. The high level of participation and quality of work reflect the continued enthusiasm for agricultural education and youth engagement, while also supporting the contest’s objective of developing communication and marketing skills among Louisiana youth!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Halyn Sonnier, a Midland High School 4‑H member, earned 1st place in the high school division! Her creativity, hard work, and dedication to promoting the beef industry truly stood out.

Congratulations, Halyn!🐮🥩🍀

Each year at 4-H University, Louisiana 4-H comes together for Change for a Change, a simple reminder that when everyone gives a little, it adds up to something meaningful.

The annual Change for a Change fundraiser is led by the State 4-H Citizenship Board and supports a rotating statewide service-learning focus.
