Yesterday, NWI columnist Marc Chase carelessly and needlessly published the full names of all correctional Officers employed with the Lake County Sheriff's Corrections Division. We would ask all our fellow officers, union brothers and supporters of law enforcement to contact Mr. Chase and express your displeasure for needlessly endangering officers and their families.

Subject: STOP TPP Rally in Gary 11/1/16 - Repeat Rally to STOP TPP

We are going back & need your support!

STOP TPP Rally in Gary - Repeat
Gary City Council Meeting on November 1, 2016:

STOP TPP Rally to begin outside Gary City Hall

Place: 401 Broadway, Gary, IN 46402

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Gary City Council Meeting to follow inside.

On October 27, 2016, a coalition of USW Members, UAW Members, SOAR Members, Hoosiers for Progress and Munster residents, got the Republican Town Council in Munster, Indiana, to unanimously pass a Resolution opposing TPP and other bad trade agreements. The Town & City Councils are realizing that STOP TPP is not a political party issue, but an issue of “economic justice” for communities in America against unfair trade and illegal trade.

It is important that we keep lobbying Town & City Councils to pass resolutions opposing TPP to make elected officials realize how devastating TPP will be to the American economy and job losses to countries like Vietnam with a minimum wage of $.65 per hour, that creates a race to the bottom with bad trading partners. If TPP were to pass in the “Lame Duck Session of Congress” it would be devastating for years to come for your kids and grand kids. Remember, “TPP is NAFTA on Steroids” and we all have felt the “ripple effect” of NAFTA on our jobs and communities, like our brothers and sisters at Carrier in Indianapolis right now.

The time to “Stand Up & Fight Back” is now, before it is too late!

We cannot accept “Illegal Trade” or “Bad Trade Agreements”! We must demand “Fair Trade Agreements” from Congress and enforcement of our trade laws!

Call your U.S. Representative & U.S. Senators to “STOP TPP”.

TPP is NAFTA on Steroids!

Stand up for American Jobs!
