Improving quality of life one trip, meal or payment at a time!

In 1978, South Lake County Community Services, Inc. (SLCCS) was established and began its mission as a not-for-profit community action agency. Our programs currently include demand response transportation for seniors and people with disabilities in our community. SLCCS also provides a Senior Lunch Program and activities at three senior centers in conjunction with Meals on Wheels. Additionally, we are very proud to be an Energy Assistance Program (EAP) agency partnered with Northwest Indiana Community Action, helping to provide low-income households assistance with energy needs during the winter heating and summer cooling months.
