Indiana District 1 USAR/Technical Rescue

Indiana District 1 USAR/Technical Rescue MABAS 207 IND1 USAR/TRT Team They also have the capabilities to respond in conjunction with The District 1 Task Force to large scale disasters.

The Indiana D1 USAR/TRT Team is a regional response group tasked with responding to local Technical Incidents (Trench, Rope, Confined Space, Water & Structural Collapse Rescues).

June is still a long way off but this year ARS is finally offering a 2-Day Skills Blitz! The concept will be very little (if any) instruction and a focus on facilitation. Participants will be able to complete multiple technical rescue scenarios with other like-minded practitioners from multiple different agencies. Scenarios will be driven by the participants input leading up to the session, allowing more freedom in what disciplines are covered. If you're interested in getting some great hands-on time with the ARS crew - have a look!

This post is overdue but everyone from IN-D1 MABAS 207 would like to wish Ron Smith luck on his new adventure as a Battalion Chief with the North East Fire Department.
Ron served with the Gary Fire Department for over 26 years and has been an invaluable member of our team for 10+ years. Good luck Ron and we hope to be able to continue to work with you!
