*** NEW COVID-19 DAILY REPORTING FORMAT STARTING JUNE 1, 2021 ***

For about 15 months, we have shared daily COVID-19 statistics, and we will continue to do so as long as the Indiana State Department of Health provides the data. However, we've read thousands of comments between two county pages over these months and we also monitor the "reach" and "engagement" of each post, COVID-19 related or not.

Starting June 1, 2021, the amount of information included in the daily update will change to show the previous day's statistics, the 7-day positivity rate, and the weekly updated County Metrics. The majority of comments indicate that people prefer to see the most recent information, not all the historic data.

We WILL continue to provide the same links we have been for those that like to dig more deeply into the data. We're not actually taking anything away from your access, just reducing the amount that will be shown on county pages. We will also attach the statewide map each day, but not the other graphics (as you can see those by clicking the links, as always).

Below is the new format we'll start using June 1, 2021 based on the report posted May 28 with May 27 data. ("Programming" Note: The ISDH will not be reporting statistics on Monday, May 31 due to Memorial Day, so the June 1 statistics will include two days of data.)

State of the County - State of the State

Lake County has gone down from YELLOW 1.5 to YELLOW 1.0 bringing us closer to BLUE, the preferred category.

Indiana officially has NO counties in ORANGE. As you can see from the map, most of Indiana is in the BLUE range.

After some wobbly weeks, we are again on the right track toward ending what seems like the never-ending pandemic.

So... keep on keeping on! :)
