As we approach Independence Day weekend, here are three things to remember before calling 911 about Fireworks:
1. Only call 911 if you observe a dangerous situation or someone is injured.
2. When 911 is called for non-emergency related issues (such as fireworks complaints) the 911 system is tied up which can delay a true emergency call from getting through.
3. If it's not an emergency, please call the non-emergency number in your area.

How does 911 work? I called today because there was a driver who decided he was not stopping for any red lights. He was weaving in and out not speeding, not that it makes a difference. He stopped at one red light maybe decided it was taking to long goes to the next light it’s red so he just goes thru it and then he decides to put his emergency lights on and kept on going. I called 911.NO ANSWER. Then the nerve to call me back and leave a message, like wow! Remind me not to call you again if I need you.
