Our crews are officially three weeks into cleaning up following the Aug. 11 derecho.
The areas highlighted in teal on this map have been cleared at least once. The areas highlighted in pink are active work areas. Crews have cleared 118 loads of chips and 1,894 loads of brush.
Clean-up is ongoing; if we have not been to your subdivision inside City limits, please know you are on our list! If you live in unincorporated Lake County, please contact the Lake County Highway Department to remove your brush.
In case you missed it:
โข Clean-up continues. Our crews along with two third-party contractors will continue to remove debris across City limits.
โข Residents who sustained disaster-related damages may now be eligible to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance. Residents can apply for assistance through FEMA by calling 1-800-621-3362 or visiting DisasterAssistance.gov. Please note, there is no cost to apply for FEMA assistance.
โข If you havenโt done so yet, report any storm damages sustained by contacting 211. Relief fund applications can be submitted by calling 211 or online at IN211.org.
