Happy National Police K9 Day to our partner, protector, and best friend, JOVI!

Fierce crime fighter by day, professional couch potato and tennis ball hoarder by night. Day in and day out, this boy puts everything on the line to keep our community safe, asking for nothing but a game of tug in return. We are incredibly proud to walk the beat with him.

People see the sharp tracking and the intense focus, but today we are celebrating the goofy partner who makes the long shifts fly by.

From all of us at the Crystal City Police Department, we wish a safe and happy National Police K9 Day to Jovi and all the hardworking K9 teams serving communities everywhere. Thank you for always having our back.

Stay safe out there to all the working teams today! "🦅👀

The Crystal City Police Department is aware of a TikTok trend that originated in Laredo, Texas, and has recently circulated within our community.

CCPD is actively working alongside the Crystal City ISD Police Department and school officials to address the situation and ensure appropriate law enforcement measures are being handled on our end.

At this time, there is no known immediate threat to our community or schools. Our departments are communicating and working together proactively to assess the situation and maintain the safety of our students, staff, and community.

We encourage everyone to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and rely on official sources for updates.

CCPD and CCISD Police are working together to keep our community safe.
