Join members of the Crystal Lake Police Department for an evening of community engagement, great food, and support for a great cause. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

National Night Out is coming up on Thursday, August 7th, and we’re bringing back our T-Shirt Design Contest—thanks to Eby Graphics!
The winning design will be printed on exclusive t-shirts handed out (for free!) at the event—while supplies last. Plus, the winner gets a special ride to school in a police car!

As families and friends gather to honor Memorial Day, the Crystal Lake Police Department is reminding everyone to celebrate responsibly. Officers will be working to keep our roads safe throughout the holiday weekend.

Law enforcement will be conducting DUI enforcement day and night during Memorial Day.

If your plans include alcohol or cannabis, make a plan for a sober ride home before you go out. Help us keep our community safe this Memorial Day weekend.

Please see the information below about the upcoming Memorial Day Parade.

The City of Crystal Lake Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026. The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. at Central High School and runs east on Franklin Avenue, north on Williams Street, and west on Woodstock Street to Union Cemetery, where a Memorial Service will be held.

The Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony is a solemn event intended to honor veterans and those who have given their lives for their country.

The Crystal Lake Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois supporters, the Crystal Lake community, and our local Dunkin’ locations for making this year’s Cop on a Rooftop event such a tremendous success.

Thanks to your generosity and support, we proudly raised $6,858 to benefit Special Olympics Illinois athletes through the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Whether you stopped by to donate, purchased merchandise, shared words of encouragement, or simply helped spread awareness — your support truly makes a difference. We are proud to be part of a community that continues to show up for such an amazing cause.

Thank you again for helping us support the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois, we will see you next year! 💙🍩🚓
