Today, the McHenry County Republican Party proudly celebrates Independence Day and the 250th birthday of the United States of America — the greatest nation in the history of the world.
America was not built by bureaucrats, socialists, or weak leaders. It was built by patriots who believed our rights come from God, not government; that freedom is worth fighting for; and that a nation without borders, law and order, strong families, and moral courage cannot survive.
For 250 years, generations of Americans have sacrificed to defend our flag, our Constitution, our families, our faith, and our freedom. We owe it to them — and to our children — to stand firm against every effort to weaken this country, rewrite our history, undermine our values, or replace liberty with government control.
As Republicans, we are proud to fight for the principles that made America exceptional: limited government, secure borders, safe communities, parental rights, free enterprise, the Second Amendment, religious liberty, and the Constitution as written.
This July 4th, we do not apologize for loving America. We celebrate her, we defend her, and we recommit ourselves to preserving the greatest inheritance ever handed down to a free people.
Happy Independence Day, and God bless the United States of America.
In Liberty,
Eric Hendricks
