Community Voices Matter 📢

The McHenry County Mental Health Board Town Hall is happening in-person on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 5–7 PM.

Community members are invited to join the conversation on:
• Mental health
• Intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Substance use
• Transportation programs including MCRide, the Connect Program, and fixed routes

Staff will also be available to help attendees register for the Connect Program on-site. Learn more and let your voice be heard! ❤️

On March 21, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, chosen for the 3/21 date to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome.

This year’s theme, “Together Against Loneliness,” reminds us that real inclusion and true belonging help reduce the higher levels of loneliness many people with Down syndrome experience.

And don’t forget the tradition: wear your brightest, wildest, most FUN mismatched socks! 🧦

The movement is a colorful way to spark conversations, spread awareness, and show support around the world.

We had such a wonderful time getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀✨

Our friends from HP joined our Woodstock CHOICE program for the afternoon, and together we dove into a fun craft project that everyone really enjoyed. The highlight was creating our very own fruit Irish flags - a colorful (and tasty!) way to mark the occasion.

It was truly a great time filled with creativity, laughter, and connection. We’re so grateful for partners who show up, spend time with us, and make days like this extra special. 💚🤍💛

We are already looking forward to the next visit!
