As Captain Stephanie, from Ms. Fins Oar House Marina, glided the airboat across the marshes and into the Gulf, they were surrounded by the untouched beauty of Florida’s Nature Coast.

The highlight of the day came when a mother dolphin and her baby surfaced alongside the boat, swimming together through the crystal-clear water. The ladies enjoyed nature as pelicans soared overhead, ospreys circled the mangroves, and the peaceful coastal landscape stretched for miles out in the St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve.

From hidden creeks to open Gulf waters, every twisty turn revealed another breathtaking view. It was a day filled with wildlife, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Nature has a way of reminding us to slow down, look around, and appreciate the incredible beauty waiting just off Florida’s coast.

Thank you ladies for your combined 50 years of service to the US Navy, Air Force, and Marines. On this day, we celebrate you.

🇺🇸⚓ A Day of Connection, Nature & Adventure ⚓🇺🇸
SHEROES Warriors on Water is proud to provide free on-the-water experiences for lady veterans of all ages thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and supporters.
A special thank you to Dawn Doss Bramblett of Century 21 Nature Coast for sponsoring today’s ECO Tour on the beautiful Homosassa River!
📍 Homosassa River📅 June 17, 2026⏰ 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Today’s crew represented 64 years of combined military service. Garnet Army Major 18 years, Kathi Navy IT 22 years, and Jane Navy Photographer Vietnam War era 24 years. These remarkable women traded uniforms for sunshine and spent the day reconnecting with nature and each other.
Captain Anna Gist of Manatee Tours and More welcomed our veterans aboard a 26-foot SunChaser pontoon at MacRae’s Bait Shop before heading down the scenic Homosassa River. Along the way, the ladies enjoyed sightings of yellow-bellied slider turtles, rolling tarpon, and three curious manatees grazing along the shoreline.
A stop by Monkey Island brought smiles as two monkeys relaxed on their treehouse porch, watching the river traffic go by. As we approached the Gulf, a few feathered passengers even hopped aboard for a ride! Despite choppy waters and a steady 10–15 mph breeze, the group enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful views, and unforgettable wildlife encounters, including feeding dolphins and more tarpon on the ride back.
These experiences are about more than just a day on the water—they provide camaraderie, healing, relaxation, and lasting memories for the women who have served our country.
❤️ Thank you, Dawn Doss Bramblett and Century 21 Nature Coast, for helping us continue our mission of honoring and supporting female veterans.

Sheroes Warriors on Water Lady Veterans Fishing Trip leaving from Crystal River, Florida
Date: 4-15-26
Tide: Incoming
Water Temp 75 degrees
West Wind 10-14 mph
Gulf Choppy
Trip Sponsored by Tri County Women Veterans Organization
First Mate: Lynn from TCWV.org

Honored to spend the day on the water with two incredible leaders—retired Navy Captain Kathy and retired Army Sergeant Major Sandra—who together represent 66 years of dedicated service to our country. 🇺🇸

Our adventure kicked off in the no-wake zone of Crystal River with a bald eagle soaring low right over the boat—an unforgettable start. As we headed out, we were greeted by a playful pod of dolphins pushing through a strong incoming tide.

The Gulf gave us a little challenge with some chop, but we pushed on to Long Point before making a move to the spoil islands, where the ladies hooked into redfish and black drum. As the wind shifted and seas picked up, we tucked back into the river, where calm waters and a turning tide set the stage for more action—only to have a large mystery fish get the best of us.

From wildlife encounters to fresh-caught dinner, it was a beautiful day on Florida’s Nature Coast. Thank you both for your service—it was truly a pleasure having you aboard and a special thanks to Lynn from TCWV.org for offering to First Mate our trip. 🎣
