👀 Have you seen this month's edition of Hometown Citrus?

We are so excited to see everyone at our upcoming Concert Series!

𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚 11 and be sure to head over to stop by our upcoming concert nights - including the Fourth of July.

This year, the city is elevating the experience with an added Crystal River Nights concert series, offering 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 from 4:30 to 8:00 pm on the stage in Town Square.

Performing will be a fun AC/DC tribute band, AC/DUCE/C, with their bagpipes - there will also be a special rendition of the National Anthem to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday.

These events, which are offered to the public at no cost, are all about community engagement while supporting our local economy and amazing sponsors.

The City of Crystal River was proud to be part of the groundbreaking for the new animal shelter, which will be an incredible asset for the entire county.

The work done by Animal Services is vital not only for animal welfare but also for the overall well-being of our residents. By promoting responsible pet ownership and providing essential services to animals in need, they create a healthier community for everyone.

This new shelter will enhance those efforts, allowing Animal Services to better serve our community's needs. Congratulations to the Citrus County Animal Services staff and everyone who helped make this vision a reality!

An event is being shared on social media, inviting people to join the "Citrus Fire and EMS Fishing Tournament" this Sunday, the 14th.

Commercial activity is 𝙉𝙊𝙏 allowed at city boat ramps. The event is 𝙉𝙊𝙏 endorsed by the City of Crystal River, Crystal River Fire Department, or Citrus County Fire Rescue.

Please 𝘿𝙊 𝙉𝙊𝙏 deliver your fresh fish to the Crystal River Fire Department - If you do end up going out fishing on your own this weekend, please take your catch home to your family for dinner. 😂

From fire trucks to ice cream treats, 𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝘾𝙐𝙀 𝙉' 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙀𝙎 with the Crystal River Fire Department was nothing short of spectacular! 🚒✨

The City had an absolute blast hanging out with our first responders. Thank you to all who stopped by and to Dairy Queen for being such a wonderful host.

Your transformed space, new covered playground, and covered pickleball courts will be an exciting addition to community resources.

Good morning Crystal River! In case you missed Monday's City Council meeting, Crystal River officials discussed how they plan to maintain police and fire services if voters approve the proposed property tax overhaul in November.

We currently fund both the Crystal River Fire Department and the Citrus County Sheriff's Office service contract through ad valorem taxes (the revenue portion from property taxes that the City receives in our General Fund).

These discussions impact our entire community, and our residents should be part of them. We encourage everyone to tune in on our website or join us at future City Council meetings and be part of these conversations.

The next City Council meeting is on July 13 in the Chamber of Commerce building at 915 N Suncoast Blvd, Crystal River.
