Let’s do our part for the wildlife.

Migration Alert: Over 443 million birds are forecast to fly across the East Coast and eastern Midwest tonight. To help birds make their journey safely, turn off all off all nonessential lights from 11 PM to 6 AM to keep them from becoming disoriented. Make windows safer with bird-friendly treatments to prevent collisions. More than a billion birds die in glass collisions every year. Learn more about migration and sign-up to get alerts: https://birdcast.org/migration-tools/

Evening... Our Lake County foster/volunteer, is at it again. She met up with 2 different finders, and took in 2 new baby raccoons. Again, the finders reached out to multiple rescues, rehabbers and just about anyone for help, and could not find anyone to take them. One baby was in Lakeland and the other was in Orlando.

Both are slowly getting healthier each day. It takes time to treat head trauma and severe dehydration.

Our newest babies... Mom was evicted from a house, no idea what happened to her, but of course a week later, they hear noises and realize there's babies. They are very thin, were dehydrated, but are refusing formula... But, they are drinking water and like yogurt and baby food.... Little boy and girl...
