Cuba Animal Shelter provides a safe haven for pets awaiting adoption. All animals are given age appropriate vaccinations and wormer and are lovingly cared for while they wait for their permanent homes. Please consider adopting a shelter pet and remember to make sure that your pet has ID at all times, such as a collar with name and phone number, rabies tag, and micro-chipping. Our ultimate goal wou

ld be to keep an empty shelter and for everyone to know the joy of having a loving pet in their lives!

This handsome guy was brought to the shelter today. If you know where he belongs, please let us know. He is safe, comfortable, and being well cared for while we search for his family.

He is absolutely beautiful and appears to be a Flat-Coated Retriever. We are hopeful that someone is missing this sweet boy and that we can reunite him with his owner soon.

After 88 days in the shelter, April is finally heading to her forever home!

This wonderful girl arrived with three newborn kittens, and we had the pleasure of watching them grow under her loving care. Plus, April also lovingly surrogated three other kittens.

Now, it’s her turn to be cherished, and we’re all sending her our best wishes for this exciting new chapter.

Waylon is celebrating his 11th birthday today, and for the third year in a row, he’s asked for donations instead of gifts! His generosity has not only made the shelter animals’ day brighter, but it has also touched everyone around him with his selflessness. Chester, a delightful one year old beagle, is eagerly awaiting his next adventure.

With an infectious personality, boundless energy for playtime, and an overflowing heart of love, Chester is a bundle of joy.

Despite receiving his rabies and distemper shots today, Chester remained as cheerful as ever, delighting everyone in the lobby at the vet.

Look at Chelsea! ❤️

This tattered little girl came to us with a deep wound and was taken to Dr. Melanie right away. The wound was open, red, and clearly causing her discomfort. Thanks to the amazing veterinary team at Cuba Vet Clinic, Chelsea was started on antibiotics and pain medication immediately.

This photo was taken during her recheck appointment just one week later, and she is totally relaxed and chilling like a pro!

Even before examining her wound, Dr. Melanie's team noticed how much better she looked overall. Her wound is healing nicely, and this once skinny girl, has already gained a pound since intake. She was even healthy enough to receive her rabies vaccination.

At just 6 months old, Chelsea is as sweet as can be and loves attention. Once she has fully healed, she'll be ready to find the forever home she deserves.

Thank you to Cuba Vet Clinic for helping us give Chelsea the care she needed. Stories like hers remind us what a difference compassion, teamwork, and proper medical care can make. 🐾
