On August 18th, 2026, at approximately 8:55 AM. Cuba Police arrested Edward A. Bulkeley (35) of Lyndon, NY. Bulkeley was arrested on an active bench warrant. Bulkeley was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Bulkeley is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On August 18th, 2026, at approximately 11:43 AM. Cuba Police arrested Jonathan D. Prescott (35) of Wellsville, NY. Prescott was arrested on an active bench warrant. Prescott was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Prescott is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On August 9th, 2026 at approximately 6:00PM, following a complaint of a female stating she was going to harm herself, Cuba Police took an individual into custody under the mental hygiene law. This individual was safely transported to an area hospital to receive assistance. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or know someone who is please text or call 988 or call 911. You can also visit the Allegany County website for assistance or the New York State website for mental health -

Mental health is just as important as physical health. OMH offers resources for New Yorkers to support their mental wellness.

On August 8th, 2026, at approximately 7:15 PM, Cuba Police arrested Donald L. Watts (77) of Cuba, NY. Watts was arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child (Misdemeanor). Watts was processed and sent the to Allegany County Jail. Watts is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On August 4th, 2026, at approximately 8:13 PM, Cuba Police arrested Tyler J. Lewis (23) of Whitesville, NY. Lewis was arrested on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle (Violation) and suspended registration (Unclassified Misdemeanor). Lewis was issued citations and released. Lewis is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Officer Waide embodies all the characteristics required to receive the America 250 Community Heroes Award, which is a district-wide initiative launched by Congressman Nick Langworthy for New York’s 23rd Congressional District. This award honors local residents, including veterans, first responders, teachers, volunteers, and healthcare workers, who exemplify American founding ideals through their service and community leadership. Osgood II was arrested on charges of moved from lane unsafely and aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor). Osgood II was issued citations and released. Osgood II is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Jobst was arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child (Misdemeanor) and course of repeated sexual conduct against a child (Felony). Jobst was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Jobst is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Buchholz was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle without inspection(Violation), operating an unregistered motor vehicle (Violation), improper license plates (Violation), operating a motor vehicle without insurance (Violation), unlicensed operator (Violation), aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd (Unclassified Misdemeanor), criminal possession of a weapon 4th (Misdemeanor) and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd (Felony). Buchholz was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail. Buchholz is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
