District Attorney Rob Lassmann will retire on December 31, 2024 after serving DeWitt, Goliad and Refugio County as an assistant DA since 1989 and as DA for the last eight years.

Rob Lassmann created this page to further transparency in this office and to give accurate and timely information on cases we prosecute. As rob Lassmann’s administration comes to an end, this page will be deleted on December 31, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

Gordon Parsons was sentenced to life in prison by Judge Kemper Stephen Williams on Oct. 10 for the murder of a Zapata man, whose body was found in Refugio County

My office just got great news from the 13th Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi! State v Devon DeBord was affirmed by the Court today! A very hard fought win by my ADA Tim Poynter! Great job Tim!
