🚨 Maury County Sheriffs Department Training 🚨

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Maury County Sheriff's Department will be conducting a training exercise on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Maury County Park from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

During this time, residents in the surrounding area may hear sirens and observe blue emergency lights as part of the scheduled training activities. This is only a training exercise, and there is no cause for alarm. Please note that Maury County Park will close early at 5:00 P.M. on this date to allow for proper setup and ensure the safety of participants and the public. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Yesterday afternoon our units assisted Maury EMS with a high priority medical call that required air medical transport. Provided patient care and then helped with the landing zone at MCFD St.26 on Bigbyville Road. As you can see the pilot opted to safely land beside our helipad to avoid the ice buildup on the pad.

Our favorite day of the year is where we get a visit from the kindergarten class at Culleoka Unit School! We had lots of fun talking about fire safety and showing off our trucks with the kids,parents, and teachers. Everyone had fun and got a little wet!

Several runs this week kept us pretty busy.
Ran a small grass fire earlier in the week on Seavy Height. Yesterday we ran several high priority medical calls with one of those requiring Air Evac 9 to land at the fire station helipad to meet the EMS unit.
This morning we responded to a motor vehicle accident on Valley Creek.
