On May 14, 2026, deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop near Highway 69 and County Road 1604. The suspect refused to stop and fled in his vehicle before coming to a stop after a short pursuit and being taken into custody.
Patrol Deputy Kyle Foshee initiated the traffic stop, pursued the suspect, and ultimately took him into custody. Deputies and investigators from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, and the Cullman Police Department, assisted with the stop and subsequent vehicle search.
The suspect, Mitchell Craig Lands, was arrested and charged with:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Attempting to Flee/Elude Law Enforcement
Lands was booked into the Cullman County Jail on a $1,003,000 bond.
