Yesterday, Culpeper PD officers responded to 302 E Davis St to assist almost a dozen fire and EMS companies for a building fire. This large-scale incident lasted almost 10 hours and required additional support from non-first responder organizations and resources. CPD Drone Team members provided live aerial overviews of the active fire, wind shifts, and threatened areas so that Fire Command could best direct resources and operations. Complicating the incident was the presence of active railroad train tracks directly behind the building.

Thankfully, no people were injured. Please keep those affected by the fire in your thoughts and prayers.

CPD is proud to work alongside our fellow first responder agencies. We also thank Virginia State Police, Town of Culpeper Government Public Works and Light & Power, Culpeper County Building Inspector, The Bridge Community Church, and Norfolk Southern and Amtrak for their assistance.
