As we approach Labor Day Weekend, CCSO wants to remind you to please celebrate responsibly. 🤝

Over the 2023 Labor Day holiday, 505 drivers were killed in traffic crashes.

33% of these drivers had a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of .08 or above and the remaining 77% were almost twice the legal limit (BAC .15+).

Halle Hairston is headed to the Patrol division she comes to us from the US Army. She will graduate the Police Academy this Thursday.

Leilani Scott is headed to the Jail division. She has almost two years jail experience and is from right here in Culpeper.

Law enforcement is still actively searching for Thomas Dyre. If you have any information on his whereabouts or camera footage from around 10:30 A.M. yesterday from Thornton Ct, please call our non-emergency number (540) 727-7900 to speak with an officer.

The Culpeper Police Department is seeking the public's help locating Thomas Dyre, reported missing this morning.

Last seen: Approximately 10:30 AM today near his residence on Thornton Ct, Culpeper, VA — left on foot.

Description:
Age: 79 (DOB 9/25/1946)
Height/Weight: 5'4" / 160 lbs
Hair/Eyes: Gray hair / Blue eyes
Clothing: Unknown at this time

Thomas is considered endangered due to a cognitive impairment resulting from a stroke.
If you have seen Thomas or have any information on his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately or the non-emergency line at 540-727-7900.
